December 12, 2025
Thank you to all families who came for the Winter Celebration yesterday! It was such a great performance.
Highlights of the Week:
- ELAL – For our individual novel studies this week we focus on summarizing and visualizing important events in the book. Students will be finishing this work next week. If students require extra time, we will be sending it home over winter break to finish.
- Math – Students wrote an addition and subtraction check-in this week. It will be sent home next week. We also introduced students to multiples to set ourselves up for multiplication after the break.
- Science – Space Unit - We reviewed and wrote our space check-ins this week. Grade 5 and 6 students will be working on their final projects next week (astronomical phenomena triorama / build your own space tech). Students are reminded to bring any materials they think they might need for building.
- Social -- We reviewed concepts from prior weeks through games and wrote a check-in for both grade 5 and 6.

Learning Intention of the Week – Once Upon a Snowman Winter Concert
We are learning to perform as a musical ensemble by singing, playing instruments, and creating a coordinated lightshow for our winter concert, Once Upon a Snowman. This supported our ability to work together, follow musical cues, use rhythm and timing, and express ourselves through movement and music while performing for an audience.
